About the role

Our client, a diversified conglomerate, is seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join their esteemed Corporate Finance department in **Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti, NG**. This role is integral to providing critical financial insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving financial performance across the organization. You will be responsible for financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and the development of financial models to support business initiatives. This is an on-site position requiring dedicated focus within our office environment.

Responsibilities: Develop and manage complex financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning. Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key drivers and variances. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations for senior management. Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations. Support strategic initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and capital investment decisions through financial modeling and valuation. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic re-forecasts. Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs, reporting on trends and potential risks. Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data and understand business operations. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting. Stay abreast of accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry best practices. Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems. Mentor junior analysts and assist in their development. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related role. Proven expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis. Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and financial software. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus. Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Professional certifications such as CFA or ACCA are highly desirable. Willingness to work on-site in Ado-Ekiti.
