About
Global Risk Management and Claims (GRMC), a branch of Treasury & Risk Management, oversees Amazon's sophisticated, global insurance programs. GRMC's scope encompasses critical insurance programs that protect Amazon's operations across all businesses and regions worldwide.
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the GRMC Controllership & Compliance team. This role interfaces with stakeholders across GRMC, Finance, Accounting and Tax teams.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Manage month end financials, tax filings, and management reporting
- Provide guidance and variance analysis to peer finance teams
- Drive automation of manual processes
- Build planning and forecasting for GRMC’s annual insurance policy renewal cycles
- Develop reporting and dashboards for leadership decision making
- Maintain and communicate allocation methodologies
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Quick Sight, Tableau, Power BI or other BI packages
- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range:
- USA, VA, Arlington – $66,900.00 – $117,100.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Seattle – $82,700.00 – $117,100.00 USD annually
- Amazon package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
- Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
