We are seeking a skilled Senior Financial Analyst with a strong background in the insurance industry to join our team. This is a fully remote position, though candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of our Longwood, FL office may be required to work onsite occasionally to meet specific business needs. We promote a dedicated and distraction-free remote workspace. This role requires a bachelor's degree and prior experience in financial analysis.
Role Overview
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will closely collaborate with division sales and service leadership to deliver comprehensive financial analysis and reporting support. Your responsibilities will include coordinating the annual budget, conducting month-end analysis and reporting, tracking key business metrics, and supporting monthly business reviews. You will play a pivotal role in translating financial data into actionable insights that steer informed decision-making and enhance divisional performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Partnership: Serve as a key financial partner for division sales and service leadership, providing insightful analysis to guide business decisions.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and support ongoing forecasting initiatives within the division.
- Variance Analysis: Review general ledger activity to pinpoint major drivers of budget, forecast, and prior year variances and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
- Investment Analysis: Assess divisional investments for return on investment, financial impact, and budget alignment.
- Revenue Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on revenue performance for major accounts, analyzing trends and potential risks.
- Payroll & Expense Monitoring: Ensure adherence to approved headcount and budget targets by tracking payroll and related expenses.
- Monthly Financial Reviews: Prepare reports and conduct monthly review meetings with sales and service leadership.
- Financial Commentary & Reporting: Develop and disseminate monthly financial reports summarizing performance and key insights.
- Book of Business Analytics: Analyze book of business metrics to support strategic planning and performance monitoring.
- KPI Reporting: Provide insights on divisional KPIs to ensure alignment with business goals.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related analytical field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of financial analysis experience.
- Previous finance experience within the insurance industry is highly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with data integration into reporting and analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI).
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage significant volumes of work with accuracy and attention to detail.

Salary Range
The expected salary for this position is between $80,000 and $100,000 annually, based on experience, relevant skills, and geographic location.
