Our client, a prestigious financial institution, is seeking a highly analytical and driven Senior Financial Analyst to join their Investment Banking division in Kaduna, Kaduna, NG. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on complex financial transactions, provide strategic insights, and contribute to significant corporate finance activities. The successful candidate will possess a strong foundation in financial modeling, valuation, corporate finance, and capital markets. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models for mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, and valuation purposes.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including discounted cash flow (DCF), precedent transactions, and comparable company analysis.
- Prepare detailed pitch books, presentations, and client reports for M&A advisory, corporate finance, and capital markets transactions.
- Assist in the execution of financial transactions, including due diligence, deal structuring, and closing processes.
- Monitor market trends, economic conditions, and industry developments impacting our clients' businesses and investment opportunities.
- Perform industry and company-specific research to identify potential investment targets and strategic opportunities.
- Support senior bankers in client relationship management and business development efforts.
- Analyze financial statements and key performance indicators to assess company performance and valuation.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of all financial data and analyses.
- Collaborate effectively with legal counsel, accountants, and other advisors throughout transaction processes.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and best practices in investment banking and corporate finance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field. A Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or financial advisory.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and Excel.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance, capital markets, and M&A processes.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under pressure.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in financial databases such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv Eikon, or FactSet is highly desirable.
- Ability to work long hours and meet demanding deadlines in a high-stakes environment.
- Demonstrated initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
