Senior Financial Analyst - Investment Banking & Corporate Finance

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Financial Analyst to join their dynamic Investment Banking and Corporate Finance division. This is a critical, permanent role based in our downtown office in Bauchi, Bauchi, NG . The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in financial analysis, valuation, M&A advisory, and capital markets, coupled with exceptional modeling skills and a rigorous work ethic. You will play a key role in advising corporate clients on strategic financial decisions.

Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive financial analysis, including valuation modeling (DCF, precedent transactions, comparable companies), LBO modeling, and synergy analysis. Assist in the execution of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), divestitures, and other corporate finance transactions. Prepare detailed pitch books, client presentations, and confidential information memorandums (CIMs). Conduct due diligence, including financial, operational, and market assessments for potential transactions. Analyze financial statements, market data, and industry trends to identify key drivers and risks. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing strategic financial advice. Collaborate effectively with deal teams, legal counsel, and other advisors throughout transaction processes. Monitor market conditions and company performance, providing insights to senior management. Contribute to business development efforts and client outreach initiatives. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies. Mentor and train junior analysts and associates on the team. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet demanding deadlines in a high-pressure environment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a related advisory role. Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and transaction execution. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, VBA), PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv Eikon). Strong understanding of accounting principles, corporate finance theory, and capital markets. Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information persuasively. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work long hours and manage demanding workloads effectively. Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport. Must be based in or willing to relocate to Bauchi, Bauchi, NG . This role is located in Bauchi, Bauchi, NG and requires full-time, on-site presence.
