Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join their dynamic, remote-first team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in driving financial strategy and performance analysis across the organization. You will be responsible for developing complex financial models, conducting in-depth variance analysis, and preparing comprehensive reports for senior management. Your expertise will be crucial in forecasting future financial performance, identifying key trends, and providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning initiatives. Perform detailed variance analysis, investigating discrepancies between actual results and planned/forecasted performance, and provide clear explanations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations for executive leadership, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial trends. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify business opportunities and risks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure accuracy and completeness. Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures. Continuously seek opportunities to improve financial reporting processes and analytical methodologies. Support ad-hoc financial projects and analyses as required. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial analysis. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related field. Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and valuation techniques. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization. Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software and ERP systems. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving remote work setting.
