Senior FP&A Analyst - Arlington, VA

About the Opportunity

We're partnering with a high-growth, pre-IPO technology company here in the DC Metro area, who are looking to build out their FP&A function in bringing on a Senior FP&A Analyst.

This is not a “maintain the model” type of role. This is a help build out a true FP&A seat where you’ll work directly with the CFO and leadership team to shape how financial insights drive decision-making across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build and own financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
• Partner directly with the CFO and leadership team to analyze performance and key business drivers
• Create and standardize monthly reporting packages for executive-level decision making
• Lead variance analysis and turn data into clear, actionable insights
• Support annual budget cycles and quarterly forecast updates
• Collaborate closely with accounting to ensure alignment between actuals and planning
• Assist with board-level materials and executive presentations
• Help establish scalable FP&A processes as the company grows toward IPO readiness

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• 4–7+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or similar
• Strong financial modeling skills (advanced Excel is a must)
• Proven ability to build models from the ground up — not just maintain existing ones
• Ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights for leadership

Nice to Have

• Experience in a high-growth or pre-IPO environment
• Exposure to NetSuite Planning & Budgeting or Oracle PBCS
• MBA
• Background in SaaS, government contracting, or technology-driven businesses
