Senior Forensic Accounting Analyst

Our client is actively seeking a highly experienced Senior Forensic Accounting Analyst to join our fully remote team, supporting operations from Aba, Abia, NG . In this critical role, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth financial investigations, analyzing complex financial data, and uncovering evidence of fraud, embezzlement, and other financial misconduct. Your primary objective will be to provide clear, concise, and actionable insights to legal teams, management, and regulatory bodies. You will meticulously trace financial transactions, reconstruct financial records, and develop sophisticated models to identify anomalies and discrepancies. Key responsibilities include preparing detailed forensic accounting reports, providing expert testimony in legal proceedings, and advising on internal controls to prevent future financial irregularities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards, and investigative techniques. Experience with data analytics tools, such as IDEA, ACL, or similar, is essential for sifting through large datasets and identifying patterns of fraudulent activity. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel, requiring exceptional communication and presentation skills. This position demands a high degree of analytical rigor, critical thinking, and attention to detail. The ability to work independently, manage multiple complex cases simultaneously, and maintain strict confidentiality is paramount. We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in forensic accounting, fraud detection, and litigation support. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required. Professional certifications such as CPA, CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), or equivalent are highly preferred. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is mandatory.
