About the role

The AI Agent team creates state-of-the-art AI Agents solving practical problems using Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI Agent systems. As an AI Agent Engineer, you will deploy AI agents addressing real-world challenges, working closely with customers and engineers to ensure impactful deployments and continuous platform improvement.

What You’ll Do

• Develop, configure, deploy, and optimize AI agents using Cresta’s AI platform and tools.
• Build AI agent integrations with external systems (APIs, databases, CRMs).
• Optimize AI agent performance and troubleshoot issues in enterprise environments.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs.
• Conduct demos and present proof-of-concepts, gather feedback, and refine solutions.
• Define project milestones, create implementation plans, and coordinate execution.
• Provide feedback to product and engineering teams, identify gaps, build tooling, and influence roadmap.
• Collaborate with PMs to define goals, iterate based on feedback, and shape product capabilities.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor guiding best practices for AI agent adoption.
• Provide technical guidance on architecture design, security, and scalability.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years experience in software development, AI/ML engineering, or system integration.
• Proficiency in Python and Golang with clean, efficient coding skills.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts; hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering preferred.
• Strong understanding of AI agent frameworks, function calling, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG); hands-on building experience preferred.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and DevOps practices (CI/CD, containerization, monitoring).
• Hands-on experience integrating systems via APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Data-driven decision-making skills including A/B testing and performance monitoring.
• Collaborative mindset working with PMs and engineers to build scalable AI solutions.

Compensation includes base salary, equity, and benefits, based on experience, skillset, location, and local pay requirements.
