Senior Frontend Developer

Your role in the team

• Would you like to become part of the ovos play product team, support us in our mission to make lifelong learning playful, and reach hundreds of thousands of people with your work?
• We are looking for new colleagues to help us further develop our web-based application ovos play and implement new projects!
• As part of one of our developer teams, you can use your experience and ideas to make our product even better and great.
• You don't need to be an expert in all areas, but you should feel confident in tackling tasks or problems.
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive work approach are essential.

• The stack you'll be working with looks as follows: UI: TypeScript, React, Tailwind CSS, Ant Design, Storybook State & Data: Zustand (and/or Redux), React Query, GraphQL Animations: Framer Motion, Lottie, Rive Mobile: CapacitorJS, fastlane Build & Tooling: Vite, Monorepo structure AI: ovos play offers several AI-powered features, from an agentic authoring assistant to generative media and end-user chat and learning functions.
• Cutting-edge coding tools such as Cursor or Claude Code are provided by us.
• QA: E2E tests with Playwright and/or Cypress, Vitest Other: You will see CircleCI and Github Actions, and of course, there is much more.
• Ideally, you should be able to work across all parts of this stack and feel confident enough to contribute as needed.

Qualifications

• Willingness to apply agile development methods.
• Constant drive to learn, grow, and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies/frameworks.
• Enjoyment of teamwork.
• Fluent in German and very good command of English (clients from the DACH region).
• Residence in Vienna and willingness to work 1-2 days per week in our office in Vienna.
