Why This Role

This is a foundational frontend hire within the consumer product team, with immediate ownership over a major web platform transformation:

• Rebuilding and optimizing a large portion of the core web experience
• Driving improvements in conversion, SEO, and performance
• Supporting international expansion initiatives
• Establishing scalable frontend architecture and best practices

You’ll operate with high autonomy and visibility, working directly with engineering leadership and cross‑functional teams to shape the product.

What You’ll Do

• Own the end‑to‑end development of core frontend features across a high‑traffic consumer platform
• Lead large‑scale page rewrites and performance optimization initiatives
• Drive improvements in SEO, page speed, and user conversion
• Collaborate closely with product, backend, and data teams on new features and experiments
• Influence frontend architecture, design systems, and engineering standards
• Mentor junior engineers and help elevate frontend quality across the team

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience

• 5–8+ years of frontend or full‑stack engineering experience
• Strong background building consumer‑facing web applications

Core Skills

• Deep expertise in React + Next.js
• Strong experience with modern frontend architectures and SSR
• Proficiency in TypeScript
• Experience with performance optimization, SEO, and high‑traffic applications

Nice to Have

• Experience with Tailwind, component libraries, or design systems
• Background in consumer marketplace or product‑led companies
• Exposure to experimentation frameworks (A/B testing, analytics)
