Senior Frontend SDET

About

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Frontend Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our multicultural team. This role focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of our web-based e-commerce platforms through robust automation and testing strategies.

This role shares the same tech stack used across all banner web SDET teams, including React, Playwright, and Node. The SDET will also support Apex service testing, leveraging JavaScript/TypeScript end‑to‑end across UI and service layers.

General Requirements

• 5+ Years of experience in automation testing.
• Strong technical knowledge in web testing for e-commerce platforms.
• Experience working in multicultural teams.
• Test case management using Jira.
• Code repository management with GitHub.
• Proficiency in Git for code versioning.

Must Have

• Hands-on experience with UI automation frameworks (Playwright).
• Strong coding proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Experience testing frontend applications built with React.
• Experience with Node‑based automation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions (minimum Jenkins).
• Experience with cloud technologies (Azure).
• End‑to‑end testing experience for web applications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality deliverables.
• Experience working with Jira & Confluence for test case management and documentation.

Nice to Have

• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests for Apex services.
• Intermediate SQL knowledge for data validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for React‑based web applications.
• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing for frontend applications.
• Collaborate with developers and QA teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Write and maintain automated service tests for Apex.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing using GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Ensure proper version control and code management using Git and GitHub.
• Conduct end‑to‑end testing across frontend systems and validate data using SQL queries.
• Document test cases, results, and defects in Jira and Confluence.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to frontend and service testing.
• Continuously improve test coverage and automation frameworks to enhance quality and efficiency.
