About the role

About the Company

Our client is a global financial services organisation with a strong engineering presence in Ireland. This team sits within a key product group building platforms used by enterprise clients to manage employee equity, stock plans, and participant data at scale.

You’ll be working on one of the most heavily used parts of that platform, with direct impact on how clients interact with the system daily.

What’s in it for You

  • True UI ownership, set standards, influence how frontend is built
  • Work on a high-usage, client-facing platform (not internal tools)
  • Join during a major modernisation (legacy → new architecture)
  • Opportunity to uplift and shape UI capability across the team
  • Strong leadership, open to ideas, innovation, and pushback
  • Structured onboarding + upcoming workshops (great entry point)
  • Clear progression path, backed by real internal promotions
  • Modern stack, Angular/React, SPA architecture, microservices backend

What You’ll Do

  • Lead frontend development across a modern SPA architecture
  • Set UI standards, best practices, and coding patterns
  • Build scalable, high-performance user interfaces
  • Drive consistency across a monorepo and shared component libraries
  • Work closely with backend teams integrating APIs into the UI layer
  • Contribute to platform modernisation from legacy to next-gen applications
  • Mentor and uplift other engineers in frontend best practices

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong experience with Angular or React (non-negotiable)
  • Deep experience building and scaling modern SPAs
  • Strong understanding of frontend architecture and design patterns
  • Experience setting standards or leading UI direction within a team
  • Solid understanding of APIs and integrating frontend with backend services
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence engineering decisions
  • Comfortable working in Agile, collaborative environments

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a monorepo environment
  • Exposure to GraphQL or BFF / experience-layer APIs
  • Background in financial services or complex enterprise platforms
  • Experience mentoring or guiding other engineers

Why This Role

Most UI roles are feature delivery with limited influence.

This isn’t one of them.

You’re being brought in to raise the bar, define standards, and help shape the frontend direction of a platform that’s actively being rebuilt.

If you’re a strong UI engineer who wants more ownership without jumping into management, this is exactly that middle ground.

Comp

  • €70,000 – €75,000 base
  • ~15% bonus
  • Full benefits package
