About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineering Manager with a focus on AI to spearhead the modernization and transformation of legacy systems to cloud-native AWS solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep, hands-on experience in full-stack application development on AWS and demonstrate strong architectural leadership in the migration of applications. You will establish the AI-native engineering strategy for your teams, set standards for AI tool adoption throughout the organization, evaluate upcoming AI development platforms, and drive measurable efficiency improvements. AI-assisted development will be central to your teams’ operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the assessment, planning, and execution of full stack application migrations to AWS.
  • Analyze existing application portfolios for cloud readiness and opportunities for modernization.
  • Architect end-to-end migration solutions, including re-hosting, re-platforming, and refactoring of components.
  • Design AWS-native architectures using services like Lambda, EC2, ECS/EKS, and more.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code with tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines with AI-powered code quality measures.
  • Drive and define the AI-native engineering strategy, ensuring standardization and productivity measurement.
  • Mentor engineering teams on modern frameworks and technologies, standardizing AI-augmented workflows.
  • Design applications integrating AI solutions within migration initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to AWS security best practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with DevOps, Security, QA, and business teams.
  • Utilize AWS monitoring tools for performance optimization.
  • Evaluate and set strategies for adopting new AI development tools.
  • Maintain thorough migration and architecture documentation.

AI-Native Engineering Expectations

  • Utilize AI coding assistants as part of your standard development workflow.
  • Evaluate new AI tools, establishing adoption strategies and measuring impact.
  • Create organizational standards for AI-assisted development and deployment.
  • Drive efficiency through AI tool implementation and track metrics.
  • Architect applications that incorporate AI integration points.
  • Provide mentorship on AI-native practices as standard operating procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture.
  • A minimum of 6 years of hands-on AWS experience with migration or modernization.
  • Daily proficiency with AI coding tools.
  • Experience in evaluating and adopting new AI development tools.
  • Knowledge of agentic AI frameworks and their application.
  • Ability to report AI-focused efficiency metrics to leadership.
  • Proficient in front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Strong back-end development capabilities in Node.js, Java, Python, or similar.
  • Experience migrating legacy applications to AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with various AWS services.
  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code strategies.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools.
  • Knowledge of application security and cloud governance in AWS.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proven success in leading cloud migration projects.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven design.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Professional or Associate certifications.
  • CI/CD pipeline experience.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is: $124,000 - $280,000. Actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and location. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. PwC offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and vacation.
