Your Job:

• You develop scalable, maintainable, and secure full-stack solutions for our SaaS product in the life sciences environment.
• You use AI tools specifically to accelerate development, increase quality, and make better engineering decisions.
• You combine engineering excellence with product thinking and actively question what we are building and why – with customer value as the North Star.
• You take ownership of topics end-to-end: from requirements and architecture through implementation and testing to release and operation.
• You translate business and product requirements into clean technical designs and robust, production-ready implementations across frontend and backend.
• You make technical trade-offs independently – with clear sparring in Engineering Leadership.
• You raise engineering quality in the team through code reviews, standards, test strategy, and active tech debt reduction.
• You mentor junior/professional engineers and establish AI-supported engineering practices (e.g., for tests, refactoring, and documentation).

Your Work Environment:

We are currently building an AI-first engineering setup that we will continue to develop together – from specification to deployment. Spec Driven Development is our single source of truth from which code, tests, and documentation are generated. You won't be joining a finished system, but actively shaping how we use AI in engineering.

• Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, SQL + Prompt Engineering
• Frameworks/Paradigms: SAPUI5 (UI5), JPA + AI Spec Driven Development, MCP Integrations
• AI & Developer Tooling: Windsurf / GitHub Copilot; Plus: Agents, RAG, Vector Databases
• Platform: SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry)
• Tools & Collaboration: Git | Atlassian | Langdock

Your Profile:

• You have several years of experience in developing SaaS products as a Senior Full-Stack Engineer and deliver features end-to-end.
• You translate product requirements into robust technical solutions and communicate clearly and structurally with Engineering and Product/Business.
• You use AI tools in your daily work to develop faster and increase quality (e.g., for tests, refactoring, debugging, and documentation).
• You have sound skills in software engineering & architecture (system design, scaling, reliability, security).
• You have high quality standards: testing, clean releases, monitoring/operational readiness, and long-term maintainability are standard for you.
• You are fluent in German and English and ideally have experience in the life sciences environment or in regulated environments.
