About the role
Description: Hybrid – 50% onsite monthly in North Carolina
We are seeking a full stack engineer to build web experiences and perform UI Engineering to support the development of modern, user‑centric web experiences for advanced applications within a financial services / technology organization. This role is UI‑focused (100%) and centers on building scalable, high‑quality front‑end applications using Angular (v17+), TypeScript, and Node.js.
You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers in an Agile environment to deliver intuitive and reliable interfaces for data‑driven, planning‑focused workflows. The team values clean code, automated testing, strong collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis. For our W2 consultants, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage, 401(k) with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $40.00 to $50.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities: UI / Frontend Engineering
• Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using Angular 17+, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS
• Build reusable UI components and shared libraries to support complex planning functionality
• Integrate with backend services and APIs using Node.js (NestJS exposure preferred)
• Collaborate with product and design partners to translate requirements into polished user experiences
• Ensure UI performance, accessibility, and cross‑browser compatibility
• Apply best practices around component architecture, state management, and frontend standards
Testing / Collaboration / Delivery
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Jest, Cypress, and related tools
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and design discussions
• Take stories from concept through implementation, testing, and deployment
• Contribute ideas and solutions that improve developer efficiency and UI quality

Experience Requirements:
• 3–5 years of professional frontend or UI‑focused software development experience
• Strong proficiency in:
• Angular (17+)
• TypeScript
• JavaScript
• HTML5 / CSS
• Node.js
• Experience consuming and integrating with RESTful APIs
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, Agile environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a hybrid team setting
• Experience supporting UI‑heavy, data‑driven applications strongly preferred
Nice to Have
• Experience with NestJS
• Exposure to AWS or cloud‑based environments
• Familiarity with frontend performance optimization and accessibility best practices
• Experience working on financial applications is STRONGLY desired
• AWS or cloud experience (preferred).
Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline required, plus 3-5+ years of relevant experience.
• In lieu of a degree, 7+ years of professional software engineering experience may be considered.
