Join our Strategic Data & Analytics team as a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to rapidly develop high-impact applications that enhance both financial performance and customer experience. You'll leverage your expertise to build cloud-native, large-scale software solutions for employees, using modern technologies such as React, Python, Java, AWS, and Palantir Foundry.

This role is available as fully remote with occasional travel or as a hybrid position, allowing you to work in the office three days a week and remotely two days a week. The position is based in Atlanta, GA, or Denver, CO. The starting salary for this role is $140,000, and the posting will remain open until the position is filled.

What You'll Do:

Daily Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in balanced teams with Product Managers, Designers, and engineers.
  • Adopt Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices for all production code.
  • Implement Continuous Integration (CI) processes to enhance automation within our development workflow.
  • Architect user-friendly interfaces and design functions to help users visualize and interact with their data efficiently.
  • Contribute to both frontend and backend projects to drive enhancements and innovations.
  • Ensure high-quality software development at a sustainable pace for reliability and longevity.

Frontend Development

  • Create responsive, engaging user interfaces using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Build reusable component libraries and implement best practices in frontend architecture.
  • Generate UX/UI designs, ensuring considerations for usability and efficiency, even in the absence of dedicated designers.
  • Optimize applications for peak speed, scalability, and accessibility.
  • Develop large-scale web and mobile applications tailored for internal employee use.

Backend Development

  • Construct and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Python or Java.
  • Design data models and database schemas as needed.
  • Deploy applications to cloud environments, primarily on AWS.
  • Integrate with third-party services and APIs.
  • Maintain clear, concise, and well-documented code.

Palantir Foundry Development (Preferred)

  • Develop custom apps and integrations within the Palantir Foundry platform.
  • Create ontology-based applications utilizing various object and link types.
  • Implement data transformations using Python within the platform.
  • Design custom user interfaces using the Foundry SDK to enrich user experience.
  • Build functions that empower users to visualize and engage with their data effectively.

Product Development & Delivery

  • Analyze problems and break them into manageable parts for delivery.
  • Utilize a Lean approach to deliver rapid value.
  • Engage in all facets of the product lifecycle, from development to deployment.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide meaningful feedback for team improvement.
  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to establish requirements and deliverables.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in web front-end or mobile development.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields is preferred.
  • Strong skills in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS for front-end development.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented or Functional Programming with languages like Java, Python, or Kotlin.
  • Experience in RESTful API design and development.
  • Familiarity with deploying applications in cloud environments, especially AWS.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, particularly GitHub.
  • Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Understanding of modern frontend build tools (such as Webpack, npm, yarn) is beneficial.
  • Experience with React, including React Native for mobile development, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Palantir Foundry platform is highly desired.
  • Experience in mobile app development for Android or iOS is a plus.
  • Proficiency in data visualization libraries (like D3.js, Plotly, Chart.js) is a bonus.
  • Awareness of CI/CD practices and DevOps principles is advantageous.
  • Proficiency with the Spring framework is preferred.
  • Understanding of Lean methodologies and Agile practices is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate across teams.
