About the role
The Senior Functional Analyst serves as the critical bridge between business operations and technical execution. You will ensure the ERP environment is perfectly calibrated to business needs by translating complex requirements into robust functional specifications. This role is ideal for a seasoned SAP professional who thrives on troubleshooting, process optimization, and leading cross-functional teams within a dynamic F&R environment.
Key Responsibilities • Requirement Analysis: Interpret complex business needs for Forecasting & Replenishment (F&R) and translate them into detailed functional or interface specifications. • System Ownership: Manage the end-to-end configuration, maintenance, and support of SAP F&R components. • End-to-End Implementation: Lead assigned workstreams from initial design phase through to final implementation and go-live. • Quality Assurance: Prepare rigorous test scripts and perform hands-on testing based on real-world business scenarios. • Issue Resolution: Utilize support resources and deep technical knowledge to resolve system bottlenecks and bugs efficiently. • Documentation & Training: Create high-quality user guides, process documentation, and facilitate training sessions for business users. • Mentorship: Act as a technical beacon for junior team members and provide high-level support to the broader SAP user community.
Technical & Professional Requirements
Education & Certification • Degree: B.Com, B.Sc, or Diploma in Information Technology (Beneficial). • Certification: SAP Certification in relevant modules (Strongly Preferred).
Experience • SAP F&R: 7+ years of hands-on configuration and full-cycle implementation experience. • Retail Supply Chain: 5+ years of in-depth knowledge of retail-specific supply chain flows. • Core Modules: 5+ years of expertise in SAP MM and/or SD. • Systems Integration: 5+ years managing integrations between SAP and external third-party systems. • Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of IDOCs, BRF+, and the ability to perform basic debugging.
Core Competencies • Problem Solving: An exceptional ability to deconstruct complex system issues and brainstorm innovative enhancements. • Leadership: Proven ability to guide and lead multidisciplinary teams, including Business Analysts, Developers, and Test Analysts. • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to documentation, testing, and system configuration.
