Senior Fund Accountant

About Our Client

Our client is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join a growing accounting team supporting Joint Venture (JV) fund accounting for large-scale solar and renewable energy projects. This role will manage accounting for projects both under construction and in operation, partner closely with internal stakeholders, and help scale and optimize fund accounting processes as the organization continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Fund Accountant/Manager

• Own JV fund accounting and consolidation for solar projects under construction and fully operational
• Build and optimize processes and procedures across the JV portfolio
• Manage and coordinate JV audits, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and monthly JV fund financials
• Prepare and review journal entries, including those related to project sales and transitions
• Prepare GAAP-compliant financial reports for internal leadership and external investors
• Import external trial balances and assist with onboarding third-party accounting into the ERP

Ideal Profile for the Senior Fund Accountant/Manager

• Currently operating at the Senior Accountant level or above
• Public accounting experience
• Background in real estate, construction or other project-based industries
• Advanced Excel skills
