Data Engineer (GCP)

PBT is looking for a talented Data Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our fast-growing, high-impact team.

In this role, you’ll design and build scalable data pipelines and architectures that power smarter business decisions across the organisation. You’ll work closely with data scientists and analysts to transform data into meaningful, actionable insights.

What you’ll do:

• Design & build scalable data pipelines using GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage)
• Develop robust ETL processes across diverse data sources
• Optimise pipelines for performance, scalability & cost efficiency
• Ensure high data quality, integrity & reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions
• Automate workflows and continuously improve data systems
• Document data architecture, models & pipelines

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years’ experience in Data Engineering or similar role
• Strong skills in Python, SQL, BigQuery & GCP
• Solid ETL and data modelling experience
• Understanding of data lakehouse concepts
• Strong analytical, problem-solving & communication skills
• Experience in financial services (advantageous)
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related field
