Senior Gen AI Developer

Role Summary

• We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Generative AI (Gen AI) Developer to design, develop, and deploy enterprise grade AI solutions leveraging large language models (LLMs) and modern AI frameworks.
• The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and production ready Gen AI applications integrated with business systems, data platforms, and cloud infrastructure.
• The Senior Gen AI Developer will work closely with architects, data engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to translate use cases into reliable AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Gen AI Solution Design & Development

• Design and implement Generative AI solutions using LLMs for use cases such as content generation, summarization, document processing, chatbots, copilots, and decision support systems.
• Develop application logic leveraging prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), and model orchestration techniques.
• Build APIs and services to integrate Gen AI capabilities into enterprise applications and workflows.
• Customize and fine tune foundation models where required using domain specific data.

Model & AI Platform Integration

• Work with OpenAI / Azure OpenAI / other LLM platforms and open-source models (e.g., Llama, Mistral).
• Integrate Gen AI solutions with vector databases, enterprise data sources, search platforms, and knowledge repositories.
• Design scalable architecture supporting inference, caching, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with cloud teams to deploy AI workloads securely in Azure or hybrid environments.

Data, Security & Governance

• Ensure Gen AI solutions comply with data privacy, security, and Responsible AI guidelines.
• Implement guardrails, content filters, and monitoring for hallucinations, bias, and misuse.
• Work with data engineering teams to prepare and manage training, fine tuning, and embedding datasets.
• Support audit, compliance, and governance requirements for AI systems.

Performance, Testing & Optimization

• Optimize prompts, pipelines, and system performance for latency, accuracy, and cost efficiency.
• Conduct functional, integration, and performance testing for Gen AI solutions.
• Monitor model behavior in production and continuously improve quality and reliability.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Translate business requirements into technical AI architecture and development tasks.
• Provide technical leadership, design guidance, and code reviews for AI development teams.
• Mentor junior AI engineers and contribute to reusable frameworks and best practices.
• Participate in PoCs, pilots, and production rollouts of AI solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• 8–10+ years of software development experience, with 3–5+ years in AI/ML or Gen AI focused roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Generative AI and LLM based applications.
• Proficiency in Python (primary), with experience in REST APIs and backend development.
• Experience with AI frameworks and libraries such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, or similar.
• Hands on experience with Azure OpenAI or equivalent LLM platforms.
• Experience integrating Gen AI solutions with databases, vector stores, and enterprise systems.

Architecture & Cloud

• Strong understanding of cloud native architectures, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience deploying AI workloads using containers, serverless, or scalable computer services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and MLOps concepts.

Professional Skills

• Strong problem solving, analytical, and system design skills.
• Ability to communicate complex AI concepts to technical and non technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in enterprise delivery, consulting, or regulated environments.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to lead initiatives end to end.

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Experience with fine tuning LLMs, embeddings, and vector search optimization.
• Knowledge of Responsible AI, model risk management, and AI governance frameworks.
• Exposure to multi modal AI (text, image, audio).
• Certifications in Azure AI, Machine Learning, or Cloud Architecture.
• Experience delivering AI solutions in large enterprises or client facing environments.
