Senior General Ledger Accountant

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior General Ledger Accountant to join our CPG clients growing Accounting & Finance team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting the month-end close process and driving operational efficiency. You'll work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure accurate and timely accounting in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close process from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare and post complex journal entries and perform general ledger account reconciliations (e.g., accruals, prepaids, intercompany, payroll etc...)
• Develop and improve processes to drive greater efficiency and automation in day-to-day accounting operations
• Collaborate with FP&A and business partners to improve data integrity and enable better decision-making
• Participate in special projects, including ERP implementations, systems enhancements, and process optimization
• Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all recurring accounting tasks
• Provide ad hoc financial support and analysis as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA candidate preferred
• 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting or corporate GL roles
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and month-end close best practices
• Advanced excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, Workday, etc...)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
