Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Generative AI Engineer Lead to join our DACH team. In this player‑coach role, you will lead the design and delivery of production‑grade Generative AI solutions while staying hands‑on in engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and collaborative innovation.
• Provide architectural guidance across projects, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, secure, and aligned with AWS best practices.
• Drive the team’s capabilities in Big Data, MLOps, and Generative AI (LLMs).
• Act as a primary technical point of contact for key clients, translating complex business requirements into actionable technical roadmaps.
• Design and implement end‑to‑end event‑driven architectures utilizing AWS Step Functions.
• Lead the integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) via AWS Bedrock and product ionize AI/ML models into data pipelines.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and other engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Maintain a hands‑on role in coding, system design, and technical problem‑solving.
• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment.

Requirements

• 7+ years in software/data engineering, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership capacity.
• Deep hands‑on experience with the AWS data and backend ecosystem (S3, Glue, Lambda, Dynamo DB, RDS).
• Expert‑level Python skills for backend development and API design.
• Proven experience building production‑grade data pipelines using Kafka, or SQL/No SQL.
• Experience integrating LLMs with AWS Bedrock.
• Expertise in end‑to‑end system design for large‑scale distributed systems with high traffic and reliability requirements.
• Strong experience with microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes (EKS).
• A Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Professional fluency in both German and English is required for this role in the DACH region.
