For one of our international clients in the industrial automation and high-tech sector, we are looking for a Senior GL Accountant ready to take ownership and grow in a dynamic European environment.
This is more than a traditional accounting role. You will act as the right hand of the Finance Manager and gain exposure to multiple European entities within a structured and ambitious organization.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As Senior GL Accountant, you will:
- Take ownership of the balance sheet and P&L
- Manage accounting activities for Belgium and part of Germany
- Perform reconciliations and consolidation activities
- Support monthly, quarterly and year-end closings
- Assist in VAT and Corporate Income Tax declarations
- Contribute to financial statements and statutory reporting
- Deliver monthly reporting and financial analysis to internal stakeholders
You combine operational accuracy with analytical insight and a strong sense of ownership.
YOUR PROFILE
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a General Ledger accounting role
- Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP and Belgian taxation
- Comfortable working in a manual accounting environment
- Familiar with VAT/CIT regulations and non-deductible expenses
- Strong Excel skills; SAP experience is a plus
- Analytical, autonomous and hands-on
- FLUENT IN DUTCH AND ENGLISH
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
