Role Description

DBS is looking for a full-time Senior Google Ads Strategist / Specialist, remote with Canada/Eastern timezone preferred. This is a salaried 40-hour/week role, CAD $60,000–$100,000 depending on experience. This is a strategy-plus-execution role for someone who knows the platform well and can make practical recommendations without heavy supervision. Role involves creating Google Ads strategies, planning campaigns, guiding campaign creative direction, monitoring budgets and pacing, optimizing performance, and communicating clearly with clients.

What you’ll do

  • Create Google Ads strategy and campaign plans across Search, Performance Max, Display, YouTube, and related formats
  • Guide campaign creative direction for Display, YouTube, Performance Max, and related ad formats
  • Manage Google Ads campaigns hands-on across Search, Performance Max, Display, YouTube, and related formats
  • Monitor spend, pacing, CPA/ROAS, conversion quality, and account health
  • Review search terms, campaign structure, bidding, audiences, creative, and landing page alignment
  • Identify and execute practical optimization opportunities
  • Help flag tracking or conversion reporting issues
  • Prepare clear performance updates and recommendations
  • Join client calls when needed and explain campaign performance in plain language

What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years hands-on Google Ads experience
  • Proven experience developing Google Ads strategy and campaign plans
  • Strong Search campaign management experience
  • Hands-on Performance Max, YouTube, and Display experience
  • Experience with budget pacing and performance optimization
  • Familiarity with GA4 and conversion tracking basics
  • Comfortable communicating with clients
  • Strong attention to detail and remote work discipline

Nice to have

  • Subscription/ecommerce campaign experience
  • Google Tag Manager or Looker Studio familiarity
  • Mobile app and web attribution model configuration expertise
  • Experience with sports, media, entertainment, publisher, or streaming clients
  • Agency or lean-team experience
