Do you feel great enthusiasm for innovations, do you like to take the lead, and do you enjoy designing cool electronics? As a senior hardware engineer, you will develop hardware for mechatronic control systems, high-tech solutions, and consumer electronics.

Who we are?

Mach technology is a group of collaborating companies where, with more than 300 colleagues, we are all driven in our own role in the development and production of innovative electronics. We work across locations in Amsterdam, Katwijk, Maastricht, Neede, and Rotterdam. Each location has its own specialization, but our strength arises precisely from collaboration: scalable production, efficient purchasing, and reliable delivery. We are passionate professionals who take responsibility, share knowledge, and help each other to improve every day. We work hard on smart solutions for our customers. At the same time, we believe that working together with pleasure is important. From padel and BBQs to cultural exchange through cooking together: connection is central. Via our My Mach app, we share news and fun tidbits with each other. Mach is more than a workplace: it is a place where technology and people come together, where you have an impact, and where we build the future together.

What will you do?

As a senior hardware engineer, you will be involved in developing and maintaining electronic hardware designs for our customers. You will do this in a team with various disciplines such as hardware engineers, software engineers, and project management. Your responsibilities include:

  • Hardware design from concept and hardware architecture to schematics and prototypes. This is where your enthusiasm for innovation comes in handy.
  • Defining technical and functional specifications based on customer requirements. Therefore, it is necessary that you are also strong in translating customer needs into an actual product.
  • Optimization of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and testing (DFT). Your design experience not only ensures the best hardware but also a design that is efficiently producible.
  • You find the solution for (hardware) design challenges. You therefore enjoy working pragmatically and know how to bring structure.
  • Coaching other engineers within the department (functional line). Naturally, you work in a team-oriented manner and enjoy providing technical direction to the team.

What do we ask?

  • A completed technical HBO or WO education in electrical engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, embedded systems, mechatronics, or equivalent.
  • A professional in developing electronic hardware and PCB layout.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in electronics development.
  • Pragmatic and analytical. You quickly arrive at solutions but weigh all options sufficiently.
  • Knowledge of hardware design, various microcontrollers, analog and digital technology.
  • Preferred is knowledge of embedded software, VHDL, simulation software, RF technology, Altium, and Orcad.
  • You enjoy being part of a team but can also work independently.
  • Good communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • You have a good eye for project interests and are proactive and flexible where necessary.

What do we offer?

  • Varied and challenging projects, about which we would love to tell you more in a conversation.
  • Work in a challenging environment where your talents will be called upon.
  • An organization that listens to you and asks for your input so that we can continuously improve.
  • Your team consists of enthusiastic professionals who ensure a pleasant and informal atmosphere.
  • Salary depending on qualifications and experience.
  • 30 vacation days based on full-time employment.
  • Travel expenses reimbursement and a good pension scheme (50/50).
