About
A Project Manager is required to support a large scale clinical information transformation program within a complex healthcare technology environment. The role is responsible for managing multiple interdependent projects with a strong emphasis on clinical information systems, clinical workflows, and healthcare delivery standardization.
Responsibilities
- Oversees planning, execution, and delivery across technical, clinical, and operational streams, ensuring alignment with program objectives, timelines, and quality expectations.
- Acts as the central point of coordination across stakeholders, including clinical leaders, healthcare practitioners, and technical teams, guiding project structure, scope definition, resource planning, and governance activities.
- Leads project initiation, planning, scheduling, and execution activities with a strong focus on clinical system implementation and integration.
- Manages risks, issues, and dependencies across clinical and technical workstreams, maintaining comprehensive project documentation, and ensuring accurate tracking of deliverables and clinical outcomes.
- Facilitates collaboration between clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders, produces detailed status reporting, and ensures effective use of tools and methodologies to monitor performance and support decision making.
- Coordinates cross functional teams, supports leadership reporting, and ensures that all project outcomes are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with clinical transformation objectives.
Qualifications
- 7 years - Project management experience managing large, cross functional teams, budgets, and multiple concurrent projects in a fast paced environment
- 7 years - Direct experience managing clinical information system or healthcare IT projects including clinical workflows, health information systems, and hospital ancillary systems
- 7 years - Experience creating project reports and maintaining decision, action, and risk logs along with experience in dynamic forecast scheduling for clinical programs
- Post secondary education in Information Technology, healthcare, or a related discipline or equivalent experience
- 7 years - Experience in the Canadian clinical healthcare system
Certifications
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is considered an asset
- PROSCI or equivalent change management certification is considered an asset
- CSM or equivalent agile scrum certification is considered an asset
Nice to Have
- 6 years - Experience leading large scale clinical or healthcare technology implementation projects
- 6 years - Experience applying project management methodologies including agile and waterfall across full project lifecycles in clinical environments
- 6 years - Strong stakeholder engagement experience working with clinicians, healthcare leadership, and technical teams
- Experience leading hospital laboratory or clinical system consolidation initiatives
- Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills in clinical and executive settings
- 3 years - Experience working within healthcare or public sector clinical environments
- Experience using Microsoft Office 365 tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, and Teams
