Senior Industrial Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Industrial Engineer to join their team in Lagos, Lagos, NG . This hybrid role offers a blend of on-site analysis and remote strategic planning, focusing on optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and reducing costs within industrial operations. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing and production systems, analyzing operational data, and recommending process improvements. The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles and workflow optimization. You will play a crucial role in enhancing productivity, quality, and safety across the organization. This position requires strong technical expertise, effective collaboration skills, and the ability to drive significant improvements in operational performance.

Key Responsibilities: Analyze existing production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes, layouts, and systems. Utilize lean manufacturing principles (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping) to optimize operations. Develop and maintain work measurement systems, time studies, and standard operating procedures. Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed process changes and capital investments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and management, to implement solutions. Develop and manage project plans for process improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff on process improvements. Monitor the performance of implemented processes and make necessary adjustments. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on process optimization and manufacturing. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies. Proficiency in CAD software, simulation tools, and data analysis software. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment. Experience in workflow analysis and system design. Demonstrated ability to lead and implement process improvement projects.
