Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Information Security Analyst to fortify their digital defenses and protect critical assets. This role is essential for maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems. You will be responsible for threat detection, vulnerability management, incident response, and implementing robust security protocols. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical knowledge of cybersecurity principles, hands-on experience with security tools, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks. This position is based in Makurdi and requires on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and logs to detect and respond to potential security incidents.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify weaknesses.
• Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Manage and maintain security infrastructure, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
• Lead incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Provide security awareness training to employees.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security is integrated into all system lifecycles.
• Assist in the development and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Produce comprehensive reports on security posture and incident findings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security.
• In-depth knowledge of network security, system security, and cryptography.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint security solutions.
• Proven experience in incident response and digital forensics.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
