Senior Information Security Analyst - Cloud Security Focus

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Information Security Analyst to join their dynamic cybersecurity team. This is a fully remote, permanent position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within Nigeria. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud security principles, threat detection, incident response, and security architecture. You will play a critical role in safeguarding our client's digital assets, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and proactively identifying and mitigating security risks across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing security policies and procedures, conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, analyzing security alerts, and responding to security incidents. You will also collaborate with engineering and IT teams to integrate security best practices into the development lifecycle and build secure systems. This role requires a proactive approach to threat hunting, staying abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends and emerging threats, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our client's security posture. The role demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently and as part of a distributed team. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage security controls for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Develop and execute security monitoring and incident response plans. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify weaknesses. Analyze security alerts and logs to detect and respond to threats. Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and guidelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure application development and deployment. Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies. Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees. Maintain security documentation and compliance records. Lead security investigations and forensic analysis when required. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in information security, with a strong focus on cloud security. Proficiency in security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions. Hands-on experience with cloud security platforms and services. Excellent understanding of network security, cryptography, and access control. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CCSP are highly desirable.
