Senior Information Security Analyst - Remote Cybersecurity

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Information Security Analyst to join their fully remote cybersecurity team. This pivotal role is responsible for protecting the organization's digital assets by designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures. You will play a crucial part in identifying vulnerabilities, responding to security incidents, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of network security, threat detection, incident response, and risk management frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems, analyze security alerts, and respond to potential security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses in systems and networks.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines to safeguard information assets.
• Manage and maintain security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, and endpoint protection solutions.
• Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents, determining the scope and impact, and coordinating response and recovery efforts.
• Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees.
• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security is integrated into all systems and applications throughout their lifecycle.
• Participate in security audits and compliance reviews, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Prepare detailed security reports, providing insights into the organization's security posture and recommending enhancements.
• Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of the company's overall information security strategy.
• Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior security team members.
