The Panther Group is seeking a W2 Contract (long term, multi-year) highly experienced Senior IT Project Manager to support large-scale, enterprise technology initiatives for a leading university in Boston, MA. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic, hands-on project leader with deep experience managing complex IT programs, cross-functional teams, and enterprise system implementations.
This hybrid role requires 3 days onsite in Boston each week and is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced, high-visibility environments.
Kind Note: This role does not support Visas (OPT, H1B, etc.) and does not support C2C or third party recruiters.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, enterprise IT projects across multiple departments
- Manage projects involving:
- CRM
- ERP
- Cloud systems
- Infrastructure
- Data integration
- Develop and manage:
- Project plans
- Scope
- Timelines
- Budgets
- Resource allocation
- Drive organizational readiness, change management, and post-go-live stabilization
- Conduct risk assessments and proactively manage mitigation strategies
- Serve as primary liaison between:
- Technical teams
- Business stakeholders
- Executive leadership
- Present project status, risks, and performance metrics to governance groups
- Lead cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure successful project outcomes
- Track financials, project milestones, and overall delivery performance
What You'll Bring:
- 8–10+ years of progressive IT project management experience
- Proven success delivering large, complex enterprise technology projects
- Strong experience with:
- Cross-functional leadership
- Stakeholder management
- Organizational change
- Enterprise systems implementation
Deep knowledge of:
- Agile
- Waterfall
- Hybrid project methodologies
- Experience with project tools such as:
- MS Project
- Jira
- Smartsheet
- ServiceNow
- Strong business and technology alignment skills
- Excellent communication, executive presentation, and leadership abilities
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP, Agile, or PRINCE2 certification
- Experience in higher education, healthcare, or large enterprise environments
- Strong background in digital transformation and enterprise change initiatives
Compensation
Pay is $80-$97.90 per hour DOE
