Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Optomi, in partnership with one of our premier clients, is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to support and optimize enterprise Windows infrastructure across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments. This role combines traditional systems administration with modern cloud, virtualization, automation, and AI-driven operational practices to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.

Experience of the Right Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise systems administration or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong experience with Windows server administration in production environments.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure services.
• Experience managing VMware and Hyper-V virtualized environments.
• Knowledge of monitoring, observability, and diagnostic tools.
• Experience with PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Understanding of networking, communication technologies, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Experience with AI-driven automation or observability platforms.

Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise Windows infrastructure across hybrid environments.
• Support and optimize VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, and Azure infrastructure platforms.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and AI-enhanced observability solutions.
• Develop automation scripts and infrastructure tooling using PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies.
• Monitor system performance, reliability, and capacity across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
• Support patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities.
• Implement and maintain security controls aligned to enterprise standards and zero-trust principles.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and cloud-related issues.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security, Networking, and Application teams to support enterprise initiatives.
• Participate in disaster recovery, business continuity, and operational testing efforts.
• Document infrastructure standards, procedures, and operational processes.
