Responsibilities

• Concept and implementation of IT systems and/or network infrastructure
• Responsibility for SLA-compliant operation of individual IT services
• Technical guidance and mentoring of employees
• Planning and execution of hardware installations and upgrades
• Planning and execution of software introductions
• Installation and configuration of operating systems (Windows/Linux) and/or virtualization platforms
• Installation of software
• Creation of test and acceptance procedures
• Execution of tests
• Development of helper scripts and tools
• Planning and implementation of information security requirements
• Administration of monitoring and management instances
• Documentation of work performed
• 2nd & 3rd Level Product Support
• In-depth knowledge in the planning, configuration, and operation of Linux server systems (Ubuntu, RedHat, etc.)
• In-depth knowledge in the planning, implementation, and operation of container solutions (docker, kubernetes, OpenShift)
• In-depth knowledge in the planning, implementation, and operation of cluster solutions (virtualization platforms, storage)
• Experience in virtualization with VMware, Proxmox
• Automation with e.g. Ansible, Puppet, or similar
• Experience in network technology / secure network transitions (genua)
• Desirable experience with Eurocontrol products (e.g. ARTAS, SDDS)

The willingness to undertake business trips to a small extent is assumed.

Qualifications

• Completed technical degree or completed technical training or further education as a technician/master craftsman
• Several years of relevant professional experience
• Experience in handling MS Office (e.g. MS PowerPoint and MS Excel)
• Knowledge of common tools (e.g. DOORS, JIRA, IBM RQM), problem management tools)
• In-depth knowledge in the planning, configuration, and operation of Linux server systems (Ubuntu, RedHat, etc.)
• Knowledge in the planning, implementation, and operation of container solutions (docker, kubernetes, OpenShift) and cluster solutions (virtualization platforms, storage) desirable
• Experience in virtualization with VMware
• Good German and good English skills, spoken and written
