Role

In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of a global IT infrastructure with a focus on VMware, Windows Server, and M365. You will be responsible for the conception and operation of a modern firewall environment, ensure data backup, and guarantee compliance with defined backup standards. You will also actively participate in various ICT projects, support the internal helpdesk and remote support for globally distributed locations, and coordinate closely with external partners and suppliers. Occasional on-site assignments at international branches, as well as co-supervision and training of apprentices, will expand your field of activity with exciting, personal contact and development opportunities. In this senior leadership role, you will significantly shape the further development of the entire ICT landscape with your know-how and your structured, solution-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Operation and further development of international server, virtualization, and cloud platforms
• Administration of security and network environments with technologies such as FortiGate, WatchGuard, and VPN
• Ensuring backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes with Veeam
• Participation in global infrastructure projects, rollouts, and technical modernizations
• Support of the Service Desk and technical exchange with international locations and external providers

Qualifications

• Training in system technology or comparable ICT professional experience
• Very good knowledge of VMware, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and backup architectures
• Experience with firewalling, network segmentation, remote access, and ideally Citrix
• Independent, customer-oriented personality with very good German and good English skills
