About the Role
The Senior Insider Threat Analyst is a vital technical expert on our threat hunting team focused on safeguarding Humana systems. As a key contributor, you will collaborate closely with the EIP Threat Management and Response teams, as well as various enterprise information security teams, reporting directly to the Associate Director.
In this role, you will analyze complex information systems to identify cybersecurity risks and proactively detect security events. Utilizing the EIP's SIEM functionalities, you will conduct hypothesis-driven threat hunts to uncover suspicious activities and assist in the investigation of potential security incidents.
You will partner with SOC and incident response teams to validate findings, document results, and recommend enhancements to monitoring capabilities and investigative procedures. Your contributions will play a critical role in identifying anomalous user behavior, credential misuse, and unusual data access or movement patterns, with the responsibility to escalate any concerns through appropriate channels.
Applying your independent judgment and decision-making skills, you will navigate complex issues pertaining to your duties, making informed choices within established protocols.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in threat hunting, threat research, threat intelligence, or incident response.
- In-depth understanding of the threat landscape, including tools, tactics, techniques, and knowledge of complex, multi-stage malware operations.
- Advanced expertise in security endpoint detection and response, network forensics, and malware analysis across on-premise and cloud environments, both physical and virtual.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification in a relevant cybersecurity domain (i.e., OSCP, GCTI, GREM).
- Proficiency in AI, Python scripting, or automation.
Remote Work Requirements
- Ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for home office connectivity. In California, associates working from home will receive reimbursement for internet expenses.
- A minimum standard internet speed of 25x10 (25mbps download and 10mbps upload) is required.
- Satellite and wireless internet services are not permitted for this role.
- A dedicated, quiet workspace to protect member PHI / HIPAA information is essential.
Travel
This is a remote role, but occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings may be needed.

Compensation Range
This compensation range reflects a good faith estimate of the starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower depending on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, and more.
$117,600 - $161,700 per year
This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan, which is based on company and/or individual performance.
