Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior Integration Accountant to enhance our acquisition-related accounting and integration initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess acquisition opportunities, drive integration processes, and ensure precise financial reporting throughout the transaction lifecycle. This high-visibility position demands strong technical accounting expertise, keen analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Essential Duties

  • Lead the integration of acquisition targets while collaborating with stakeholders to establish effective financial and operational procedures.
  • Conduct financial and process due diligence, actively participating in reporting findings.
  • Prepare the accounting for acquisitions, including business combinations, asset and liability valuations, and establishing entities.
  • Assist in working capital true-ups and post-acquisition financial tasks.
  • Engage in audit activities related to acquisition accounting.
  • Facilitate the transition of accounting services to internal teams.
  • Execute month-end close procedures, including processing journal entries and performing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Analyze financial statements and deliver insights into performance metrics and results.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger and maintain the integrity of the chart of accounts.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to address discrepancies and unresolved items.
  • Mentor and train junior staff, fostering their professional development and enhancing team performance.
  • Drive process improvements and actively support team and company-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • CPA designation is preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in corporate or public accounting.
  • Experience related to mergers and acquisitions, particularly in healthcare, is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

Skills and Job-Specific Competencies

  • Proficiency in working cross-functionally with Development, Operations, and Corporate Accounting teams.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Adept at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with reviewing legal agreements related to acquisitions is advantageous.

Travel Requirements

Minimal travel is expected unless otherwise directed by the client.

Salary Range

SolomonEdwards values the unique experiences and backgrounds of our staff. The compensation for this position is determined based on various factors, including education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. The estimated hourly pay range for this role is $46 - $48.
