Senior Integration Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Integration Engineer with deep expertise in Boomi and Workato, specializing in payroll and HR system integrations. This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining complex integration solutions that connect critical enterprise systems, with a strong emphasis on payroll and human capital data flows.

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with modern integration platforms and is comfortable leveraging AI-driven automation to build scalable, high-performance solutions. This role requires close collaboration with both business stakeholders and technical teams to translate complex requirements into robust integration architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain payroll-focused integrations using Boomi
• Build and manage complex integration workflows (“recipes”) within Workato
• Architect scalable, enterprise-grade integration solutions across multiple systems
• Develop and optimize AI-driven automation workflows using modern tools
• Implement Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions for automated data extraction
• Design and maintain error handling, monitoring, and alerting strategies for critical data flows
• Integrate enterprise applications including HRIS, ERP, and CRM systems
• Develop and optimize SQL/PL-SQL queries for data processing and transformation
• Support production systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance
• Implement and manage SFTP and HTTP-based integrations
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues in a timely manner
• Document integration architecture, processes, and best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver integration solutions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Boomi integration
• 4+ years of experience with the Workato platform
• Strong experience integrating payroll, time & attendance, or HR systems
• Experience integrating enterprise applications (e.g., HRIS, ERP, CRM platforms)
• Expertise in building complex integration workflows with branching logic and error handling
• 3–5 years of experience with SQL and PL/SQL
• 4+ years of experience supporting production integration environments
• Experience with SFTP and HTTP integrations
• 4+ years of experience with scripting languages (Java, Groovy, or JavaScript)
• Strong understanding of API-based integrations and data exchange patterns
• Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale integration solutions
