About the role
Our client, a prestigious investment bank, is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Investment Banking Associate to join their esteemed team. This is a fully remote position, providing the flexibility to work from anywhere within Nigeria. You will play a critical role in executing complex financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, and strategic advisory services for a diverse clientele.
Responsibilities: Manage and execute M&A transactions, including valuation, due diligence, financial modeling, and deal structuring. Lead capital raising activities, such as initial public offerings (IPOs), debt financing, and private equity placements. Develop comprehensive financial models, including LBO models, DCF analyses, and accretion/dilution analyses. Prepare client presentations, pitch books, and marketing materials. Conduct in-depth industry research and market analysis to identify opportunities and risks. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, investors, and other stakeholders. Supervise and mentor junior associates and analysts, providing guidance and feedback. Oversee the execution of deal processes, ensuring timely completion and adherence to regulatory requirements. Negotiate transaction terms and coordinate with legal counsel and other advisors. Stay current with financial market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes. Contribute to business development efforts and the expansion of the firm's client base. Ensure the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and professionalism in all work products. Manage client expectations and act as a key point of contact throughout transaction lifecycles. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is highly preferred. Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or consulting. Proven experience in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and transaction execution. Strong understanding of capital markets, M&A processes, and corporate finance principles. Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively. Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to manage and motivate teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv). Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a demanding remote environment. High ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality. Strong client relationship management skills.
