Senior IoT Solutions Architect

Our client, a global leader in innovative technology solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Senior IoT Solutions Architect to join their pioneering, fully remote team. This role is instrumental in designing and developing cutting-edge Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystems for a diverse range of industries. You will be responsible for architecting end-to-end IoT solutions, encompassing device management, connectivity, data ingestion, analytics, and application integration. Your expertise will guide the technical strategy and implementation of complex IoT projects, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability. Responsibilities: Design scalable, secure, and robust IoT architectures for diverse applications and industries. Define and document technical requirements for IoT devices, platforms, and cloud services. Select appropriate IoT protocols, communication technologies (e.g., MQTT, CoAP, LoRaWAN), and cloud platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub). Oversee the development and integration of IoT solutions, including device onboarding, data management, and analytics. Collaborate with hardware, software, and data science teams to deliver comprehensive IoT solutions. Develop proof-of-concepts and prototypes to validate architectural designs. Ensure the security and privacy of IoT data throughout its lifecycle. Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams. Stay abreast of emerging IoT technologies, trends, and best practices. Present technical solutions and strategies to stakeholders at various levels. Qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in software architecture and design, with a strong focus on IoT solutions. In-depth knowledge of IoT platforms, protocols, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with embedded systems, device management, and connectivity technologies. Proficiency in programming languages relevant to IoT (e.g., Python, C++, Java). Strong understanding of data analytics, machine learning, and AI as applied to IoT. Excellent understanding of cybersecurity principles for IoT environments. Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and collaborate effectively in a remote, distributed team. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience with edge computing concepts is a plus.
