Job Summary
As a Senior Consultant within EY's Managed Services Product Engineering team, you'll play a vital role in the day-to-day delivery, governance, and continuous improvement of large-scale product engineering managed services. In this capacity, you'll be instrumental in executing service delivery commitments, leading client-facing initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence across applications and platform services.
This position is perfect for a hands-on consultant with over 7 years of experience in IT delivery, outsourcing, or product management who excels at client engagement, disciplined execution, and service optimization.
Key Responsibilities
IT Product & Project Management
- Act as the IT Product / Project Manager for client-facing initiatives, including product engineering, application enhancements, modernization, automation, or tool adoption.
- Manage product backlogs, roadmaps, and delivery plans in line with client priorities and managed services objectives.
- Coordinate Agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery models responsive to engagement needs.
- Drive clarity in requirements, establish acceptance criteria, and ensure smooth transitions to steady-state operations.
Service Delivery & Execution
- Oversee the complete delivery of managed IT services.
- Serve as the day-to-day PMO for assigned workstreams, initiatives, or service components within larger engagements.
- Monitor SLAs, KPIs, milestones, risks, and dependencies, proactively escalating issues to the Senior Manager.
- Ensure all delivery activities meet contractual commitments, operational models, and EY quality standards.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Prepare and present status reports, dashboards, and operational reviews.
- Facilitate client governance forums, which include weekly/monthly service reviews and transformation checkpoints.
- Work closely with the Engagement Manager to nurture strong client relationships and boost delivery confidence.
Team Coordination & Collaboration
- Lead cross-functional and cross-geography teams, comprising onshore, offshore, and third-party providers.
- Take charge of delivery tasks, documentation, and best practice sharing.
- Encourage a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the delivery team.
Continuous Improvement & Transformation Support
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, standardization, and tooling enhancements.
- Contribute to transformation initiatives including cloud adoption, DevOps enablement, and ITSM optimization.
- Assist in service transition activities, runbook development, and ensuring operational readiness.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Product or Project Management, preferably within IT managed services.
- Hands-on management experience in complex IT initiatives within a service or operations-oriented context.
- Strong grasp of IT service management concepts (ITIL), SLAs, KPIs, and governance frameworks.
- Experience with global delivery teams and onshore/offshore models.
- Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and execution competencies.
Preferred
- Background in managed services or long-term outsourcing engagements.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise IT environments.
- Experience using ITSM and delivery tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, SAFe, Scrum Master, or equivalents.
- Prior consulting or professional services experience.
