Transformation of a monolithic SAP e-commerce architecture into a modern, flexible composable architecture.

Details

• Period: 01.06.2026 – 31.12.2026 (extension possible)
• Workload: Part-time (50%), max. 560 hours total
• Location: Remote and occasional on-site work in Nuremberg
• Special feature: Absolute independence from implementation partners (vendor neutrality)

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Tool selection: Technical consulting and selection of headless frontend solutions and CMS systems.
• Requirements Engineering: Review and refinement of existing frontend requirements.
• Assessment & Decision: Conducting technical assessments and preparing decision templates for management.
• Tender: Preparation of RfP documents for the CMS and support of the selection process.
• Architecture review: Evaluation of the Service Application Stack and High Performance Storage solutions.
• Organizational consulting: Support in setting up the target operating model (mix of internal teams and offshoring).
• Roadmapping: Creation of the detailed implementation plan for the post-selection phase.

Must-have skills

• Strategic IT project management, stakeholder management
• SAP E-Commerce (Hybris) know-how
• MACH principles (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless)
• Tender management (RfP), business case creation
• High seniority, assertiveness, resistance to advice from service providers
• Migration from Monolith to Composable/Headless
• Selection of Headless Frontends & API Layers
• Evaluation of CMS systems (e.g., Contentful, Strapi)
• Experience with sourcing strategies (insourcing/offshoring)
• Fluent German & English
