Our client, a fast-growing technology solutions provider based in Kano, Kano, NG, is looking for an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead and oversee a diverse portfolio of technology projects. This is a critical role responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of IT initiatives from inception to completion. You will manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex IT projects, including software development, infrastructure upgrades, and system integrations.

This role requires a strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and best practices. The Senior IT Project Manager will play a key role in stakeholder management, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal teams. Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans.
• Define project scope and objectives.
• Identify and manage risks.
• Ensure effective communication among stakeholders, project teams, and senior management.
• Manage project teams, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and ensure the quality of project deliverables.
• Provide regular status updates, performance reports, and post-project evaluations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master's degree or PMP/Prince2 certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT project management, with a demonstrated history of successfully delivering complex projects.
• Proven experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and IT infrastructure.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
• Experience in risk management, budget management, and resource allocation.
• Familiarity with project management software such as Jira, Asana, or MS Project.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
