About the role
Description
This government client is a purpose-driven social enterprise and the largest housing operator in Calgary, providing safe and affordable housing solutions for low- and moderate- income Calgarians. We are seeking a Project Manager for the implementation of business technology projects. The ERP system is Yardi, and we are focused on implementing new modules and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with interested parties and be accountable for the overall delivery of the project.
Essential Skills
- Experience leading Yardi ERP related projects
- Eight (8) years' IT project management experience
Desired Skills
- 5 years of experience working with Yardi. Of particular interest is Forecast IQ, Smart AP, and continuous improvement of finance in Yardi.
- Of this experience, at least five (5) of the years should have been on medium to large technology projects, as defined by both size and complexity (size of projects may be defined in terms of budget, staff involvement, organizational impact, risk profile, complexity/number of stakeholders, and size of organization).
- Five (5) years' experience leading and supporting multidisciplinary project teams consisting of internal staff from IT and clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Five (5) years' experience with project resource planning, including participation in project team resourcing.
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and manage complex relationships with groups/individuals with varying perspectives, interest and roles.
- Strong leadership, planning, change management and analytic skills.
- Well-developed communication skills including oral, written, presentation, facilitation and mediation skills (negotiation and mediation).
- Ability to work with a diverse audience and reach a consensus on critical project decisions.
- The ability to undertake multiple projects, manage competing demands, prioritize and adjust resources.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to influence others without direct supervisory control.
- Previous work experience in the public sector or large organizations; and
- Formal training and /or certification in project management (e.g., PMI Project Management Professional) is an asset.

This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $100.00/hr.
