Senior Java API Developer (Spring Boot | Payment)

We are looking for a highly skilled API Developer for a 7 months contract to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable APIs that support digital platforms and payment systems. You will play a key role in enabling system integration and driving modern microservices-based architecture within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices • Build and manage integrations between internal systems and external partners • Ensure API performance, scalability, and security best practices • Implement and manage APIs through API gateways • Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, and business teams • Produce and maintain API documentation (Swagger / OpenAPI) • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve API-related issues in production • Ensure adherence to governance, compliance, and security standards

Required Skills & Experience • Strong experience in API development using Java (Spring Boot preferred) • Solid understanding of REST, JSON, HTTP protocols • Experience with OAuth2, JWT, and API security frameworks • Hands-on experience with API gateways (Apigee, Kong, MuleSoft, etc.) • Knowledge of microservices architecture • Strong SQL and database integration experience • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices

Advantageous Skills • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes • Exposure to event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.) • Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or similar) • Understanding of banking and payments systems

Preferred Industry Experience • Financial services or banking environment • Exposure to payments, clearing, settlements, or transactional systems
