The project

We are seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer to work on a Tech project.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java, applying object-oriented principles and design patterns consistently;
• Implement infrastructure-as-code components using Terraform to support scalable and repeatable environments;
• Build and evolve event-driven integrations using Kafka;
• Develop and maintain automated tests (unit and integration), applying TDD and shift-left testing practices;
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and workflows using Git-based version control and automation;
• Deploy and operate services in Kubernetes environments, supporting reliability and performance;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on Java backend development;
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and common design patterns;
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation;
• Hands-on experience with unit testing, integration testing, and TDD/shift-left practices;
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD concepts and workflows;
• Knowledge of Kafka and event-driven architectures;
• Experience working with Kubernetes in development and/or production environments;
• Experience with GraphQL Federation;
• Knowledge of Azure Cloud;
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
