About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to design and implement server-side logic, develop and maintain APIs, and optimize database performance. You will be responsible for monitoring server health, troubleshooting application issues, and ensuring system reliability. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on a critical part of a high-impact platform.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and development of application from requirements analysis to production.
• Constantly improve software quality (evaluate and incorporate new libraries, tools, and technologies; code reviews; refactoring; testing; etc.)
• Analyze and improve application performance.
• Search for simple and robust solutions to complex tasks.
• Work in an Agile methodology environment where innovation, teamwork, and creativity are the key to success.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required
• 8 or more years of industry experience building scalable micro services or data driven platforms
• Strong computer science fundamentals
• Prior experience with Java
• Expertise in NoSQL datastores ( e.g Cassandra or DynamoDB )
• Proficiency in data processing technologies (e.g Kafka, Spark, Flink )
• Experience crafting scalable micro services
• Familiarity with cloud paradigms ( e.g AWS or GCP )
• Proven ability to work on sophisticated problems and systems
• Strong problem solving and debugging skills
• Have the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical multi-functional teams.
