Our Challenge

We are seeking a Senior Developer candidate to join the Global Spread Products eTrading technology team. Developing the Next Gen e‑trading Platform, the candidate’s expertise will contribute to the construction of our state‑of‑the‑art e‑trading/algorithmic platform, ensuring it meets the dynamic needs of the market and our business.

Additional Information

• The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.
• In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON is CAD $110k – CAD $120k/year & benefits (see below).

Responsibilities

• Designing, creating, and implementing Java‑based applications.
• Interpreting briefs to create high‑quality coding that functions according to specifications.
• Determining application functions and building objectives with the team.
• Ensuring that written code falls in line with the project objectives.
• Problem solving with other team members in the project.
• Identifying and resolving immediate and potential issues with applications.
• Drafting detailed reports on the work performed and projects completed.
• Participating in group meetings to discuss projects and objectives.
• Assisting other developers with troubleshooting, debugging, and coding.
• Meeting deadlines on fast‑paced deliverables.
• Creation of external and internal applications of various purposes and volumes.
• Task execution planning.
• Collection of requirements for the future product.
• Development of scalable products that increase the functionality of the entire system.
• Interaction with the customer and head of the company.
• Deployment of all system functions.

Requirements

• Experience in building, designing, and deploying web applications and RESTful APIs.
• Experience in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, JavaScript.
• Experience in React or Angular framework (preferably React).
• Experience in developing/designing micro‑service architecture.
• Extensive experience in one of the cloud providers AWS/Azure and migrating large scale.
• Experience in microservices.
• Experience in C#.
