YOUR ROLE

• Kubernetes Operations: You design, operate, and optimize our Kubernetes clusters in the adesso data centers (setup, upgrades, backup/recovery, monitoring, troubleshooting).
• Platform Development: You further develop our environment into a standardized, secure "Kubernetes as a Service" for internal teams.
• Security & Governance: You implement security and governance requirements in Kubernetes (e.g., RBAC, network policies, secrets, certificates).
• Integration: You connect Kubernetes with our CI/CD and dev processes (e.g., GitLab, pipelines, self-service provisioning).
• Observability: You establish monitoring, logging, and alerting for stable and transparent Kubernetes workloads.
• Automation: You automate processes with Infrastructure as Code and scripts (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Bash, PowerShell).
• Datacenter Collaboration: You work closely with colleagues from virtualization, storage, and backup and provide hands-on support in operations.

YOUR PROFILE

• Work Experience: Several years of practical experience in operating Kubernetes clusters in on-prem/data center environments, including setup, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Containers & Linux: Very good know-how in container technologies (e.g., Docker/OCI) and confident handling of Linux systems.
• Automation: Experience with Infrastructure as Code and tools like Ansible, Terraform, Helm, or GitOps (e.g., Argo CD, Flux).
• Network & Security: Good understanding of Kubernetes-specific network and security concepts (Ingress, Load Balancing, TLS, Policies).
• Monitoring & Logging: Practical experience with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Opensearch or comparable).
• Datacenter Know-how: Ideally, experience with VMware vSphere, storage technologies (e.g., Fibre Channel, Ceph), or backup solutions (e.g., Veeam).
• AI Competence: You confidently use AI tools in your field, critically evaluate the results, and support customers and adessi in leveraging AI potential.
• Language Skills: Your very good German and good English skills enable you to communicate effectively.
