We are looking for a talented Laravel expert to join Nevvon. Someone who will join us in scaling our system. If you are looking for the opportunity to grow and create something you can call your own, we are it. This role will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer.

Responsibilities

Here’s what you’ll be focused on:

  • Take complete technical ownership of a newly absorbed Laravel product, focusing on refactoring, establishing, and maintaining high code standards and best practices
  • Mentor and guide other developers currently working on the product, providing clear technical direction, enforcing code quality, and implementing the correct Laravel paradigm and standards
  • Work on backend architecture, tech roadmaps and design solutions
  • Assume responsibility of the backend design, code, testing and deployment procedures
  • Work with additional teams and stakeholders to define interfaces, protocols and standards
  • Be responsible for both backend logic and frontend integration (using Laravel Blades) for the owned product

Qualifications

In order to be successful in this role, you’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • At least 5 years experience working as a developer in a professional capacity
  • Excellent knowledge of PHP and Laravel
  • Proven experience reviewing code and setting standards for a development team
  • Experienced with containers technologies such as Docker – a must, and with Linux environment – a plus
  • Experienced with SQL databases, and MySQL in particular, including query optimizations, DB tuning
  • Knowledge of cloud services, specifically AWS – big plus
  • Team player with good communication skills, and fun to work with

Experience

  • PHP and Laravel: 4 years (required)
  • Docker, AWS, CI/CD: 1 year (big plus)
